Go Green with Energy Efficient Lighting!

With Earth Day just a month away, we wanted to focus on energy efficiency. Lighting is a great, easy way to make a big change that is great for the environment and can help save you money on your electric bill. Here are just a few reasons why it is cool to be green.

Environmental Impact - Switching to compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs) is a great way to reduce energy consumption. You can trade a 60 watt incandescent bulb for a 13 watt CFL and save over 75% in energy consumption. In Bermuda, lighting accounts for over 10% of energy consumption in homes and 28% in businesses according to the Bermuda Energy Green Paper, published February 2009. Reduced energy consumption means using fewer natural and imported resources.

Lower Electric Bill - Yes, CFLs are good for the environment. But, they are also great for your electric bill. Your electric bill is based on cost per kilowatt hours. Fewer watts means less money out of your wallet.

Changing Light Bulbs Less Often - Is that bulb out again? If you have incandescent bulbs, they only last for about 750 hours. CFLs last from 5000 to 10,000 hours per bulb. This means you have to purchase fewer bulbs AND change them less often - especially those bulbs way out of reach!

Sleek Style and Great Design in Bermuda

St. Kitts Home - Beautiful and For Sale!

Could you imagine having your morning coffee here?

This gorgeous home is set in St. Kitts with spectacular views of the Marriott Hotel and Frigate Bay area. The house has four bedrooms and five bathrooms.

We were happy to be part of this project supplying the builder with doors, windows, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, countertops, hardware, railings, paint and more. The results are amazing!

I would just like to say it was indeed a pleasure working with Jeff and the team at Global Sales again, over the years working with them in Bermuda, I have never been disappointed. My house in St.Kitts is truly a testimony of the service and quality of the products they provide.
